Nicholas P. Pipino Memorial Scholarship

Since 1993, the Nicholas P. Pipino Memorial Scholarship has provided financial assistance to students at Drexel University. The scholarship was established by the Nicholas P. Pipino Memorial Foundation to preserve the memory of Nick Pipino, a Drexel student who was fatally stabbed outside Cavanaugh's Restaurant and Bar on December 19, 1992, where he worked part-time as a bartender while pursuing an undergraduate degree. In keeping with Nick's love for the outdoors, the Foundation created the University City 5K to make something positive out of Nick's untimely death. Proceeds from the University City 5K have directly supported the Nicholas P. Pipino Memorial Scholarship for over 28 years.

The application period is now closed. Recipients will be announced by Friday, Dec. 11, 2020.
