The Tradition of Philanthropy
The tradition of giving at Drexel started with the University's founder and first philanthropist, Anthony J. Drexel. He made the first donation to establish what is now Drexel University and believed in preparing students for life after graduation cooperative learning. Fueling his passion for inclusive education, his gift has inspired generations of graduates to give back to support their passions and carry on the tradition of philanthropy.
