ALUMNI BOARD OF GOVERNOR NOMINATIONS

Page had been hidden from nav.

Give back and help shape the future of Drexel! The Nominations Committee of the Alumni Board of Governors invites all alumni to participate in the annual call for nominations. The Board of Governors is a group of volunteers elected to represent their fellow alumni. The number of available elected director positions changes from year to year, depending on the current directors' term limits.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated leadership and service to their chosen profession, Drexel University and the community.

The Board of Governors is actively seeking a representative group of qualified nominees who meet these criteria and who are eager and willing to commit their time and share their wisdom in representing the alumni constituency.

Board members are expected to accept a leadership and participatory role by working closely with the Office of Alumni Relations to further its mission and its strategic initiatives. Board participation requires a time commitment at quarterly meetings of the full Board, quarterly committee meetings, and a presence at campus and alumni events. Board members are also asked to make an annual gift to the University. Elected directors may serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATION

Nominations will be accepted until April 1 for the term beginning on July 1, 2024. A Letter of Interest is required to be submitted with each nomination. The guidelines are outlined below:

Thinking about joining the Board?

Current members share why they “got on board” and what they enjoy the most about it.

Drexel is at the core of who I am professionally and personally and joining the Board of Governors was my opportunity to actively ‘pay-it-forward’ to current students and fellow alumni.

For me, the comradery is the greatest benefit. Through my involvement, I witness, share in and experience the Drexel Alumni success. It is funny how success is infectious.

I joined the Board because I knew I wanted to be more involved at a global, University-wide level.

What I enjoy most is seeing the incredible things that happen at Drexel more intimately. Board of Governors members get an inside view into all things Drexel and our involvement is tailored to our interests.

I joined to give back to Drexel by helping to shape the programs and activities that keep alumni engaged. I want to help current and future alumni to stay connected with Drexel in their own unique ways.

This is my first year on the Board and, so far, I’ve absolutely enjoyed the Board members and the people that I’ve crossed paths with. These alumni are some of the most ambitious professionals that I’ve met. Learning from them and working with them has been an absolute pleasure!
