When I speak with students, something I always mention is that it is hard enough to pick a major in college, but it is a whole other ballgame choosing a job. There is so much out there in every field that we are often unaware of until we start industry experience or working with our college's career center. My journey to admissions and to Drexel actually started that way.

I was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs and went to college not too far away in Lancaster, PA. When I was an undergraduate student, I started an on-campus job in my college admissions office call center. I absolutely loved it! I got to apply my skillset as an education major in a way that I didn't even know was possible. Working with the higher education professionals exposed me to a part of the education field that I wasn't aware was something I could pursue as a career. But I have been doing it ever since!

As an admissions professional, my goal is to help make the college search process as accessible as it can be.

I love Philadelphia. My love for the city is expressed in so many ways and I love that I can pursue those things in so many forms here. However, you can mostly find my passion for Philadelphia when it comes to sports. I am a diehard fan of our Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, Flyers and I am even a season ticket holder for our soccer club the Union. While us Philly fans are the most passionate and best in the U.S. (I won't take any questions on that), the city has so much more to offer too.

As a former Eagle Scout, I love the outdoors; and, when I first moved to the city, one thing I was worried that I wouldn't get as much of was experiencing the outdoors. But, that has actually been the opposite case! Whether it's on the Schuylkill River or "urban hiking" from neighborhood to neighborhood, you can feel the unique changes of each, which makes me feel connected to the city and also lets me explore my love of the outdoors and history.

As an admissions professional, my goal is to help make the college search process as accessible as it can be. There really is no "secret sauce" to figuring out which colleges you want to apply to, and then finding your fit. So, my biggest piece of advice is to visit and use the resources around you. Ultimately though, visiting is the most important piece to me. Visiting college campuses helps guide you on what is on your "must have" list and finding the sense of belonging that is crucial. Also, visiting lets you meet folks like me! Us admissions folks are here to, of course, give you information about our schools but also support you in the college application process in general. It is why we are here and love what we do.
